There will be a joint study session meeting of the Tacoma Library Board and Tacoma City Council on April 30 at noon to review the past and coming years of the library issues on Hilltop.

Study sessions do not allow public comment, but the Hilltop Library Planning Committee plans to attend, wearing their yellow T-shirts. League members are urged to join this effort to keep Council members aware of the need for a new library on the Hilltop.

T-shirts will be available at the meeting, which is in the Council Chambers, 747 Market Street, Tacoma 98402. The meeting will also be on Zoom.

If you live in Tacoma Council District 3, and especially within the Hilltop area, this public statement of support is easy; and it is important as plans evolve for the coming Tacoma City budget. If you are unable to attend the Study Session, it is important to keep in touch with your council member frequently about the importance of libraries to you and to the Hilltop community.
