Action

As a nonpartisan organization, the League of Women Voters takes political action based on its adopted positions crafted after in-depth study of an issue and membership consensus.

The League of Women Voters of Tacoma-Pierce County takes action by informing elected officials of our positions and encouraging them to support those positions in their work.  We also encourage the public to similarly advocate with their elected officials.

Following are actions taken recently by LWVTPC and suggestions of where the public can do the same.

July 5, 2022
The Pierce County Council is considering Resolution No. R2022-98, Dedicating the Month of July as “LGBTQ+ Pride Month”  at its meeting at 2:00 pm.  See the LWVTPC letter in support of this.  Please contact the County Council and ask them to pass this Resolution.
