April 2026 – From Position to Action: Climate
Marty Gibbins, LWVWA Climate and Energy Issue Chair and Board Second Vice President, provided an overview of current state efforts, including the Climate Commitment Act and funding challenges at both state and federal levels. Following the presentation, Chuck Jensen (LWVTPC) led a discussion on international progress in climate action and energy conservation.

January 2026 - Washington State Legislative Session
Cynthia Stewart, LWVWA Lobby Team Lead, presented key issues expected in the second half of the 2025-26 biennium, which convenes January 12, 2026. She will highlight the League’s legislative priorities and discuss ways members can support the League's advocacy efforts.

December 2025 – All-Member Program Planning Meeting
Annual gathering for presenting proposals for a program of work to present at the annual membership meeting in June 2026. No additional materials are available.
November 2025 – Focus: Northwest Detention Center
Lydia Zepeda presented a compelling overview of the current conditions for people detained at the Northwest ICE Processing Center in Tacoma. She provided insight into the challenges detainees face every day and the actions League members can take to advocate and support them.
October 2025 - Protocol & Politics of Voter Registration
Kyle Haugh, Pierce County Elections Manager debunked the myth that non-citizens are voting. Following a Q&A with Kyle, we had a brief discussion of statewide Initiative IL26-126, requiring registered voters to reregister in person with proof of citizenship.
September 2025 – Defending Democracy
An open conversation on how the League—nationally, at the state level, and here locally—is responding to the current constitutional crisis and other threats to democracy. Together, we explored concrete actions we can take as a League and as individuals to help safeguard a fully democratic society.
